Having fallen in love with the country - and a fellow Swiss she met in Hollywood - she has extended it to 58 years so far. Over time, she lost the firm grip on her German mother tongue; her last article in a Swiss newspaper appeared in 1974. To the chagrin of some, she is still a bilingual punster.
